Week 30 report - 2024
Our first customer
Pado is officially a "business". We built something amazing, and someone actually paid for it. The amazing part is that, even though this person is our fan and is totally biased, he paid 100,000 Korean Won. Now, it is $72 USD when you'd just calculate it using pure numbers, but for Koreans ₩100K is feels like $100. (Ask anyone)
The feeling of receiving money from someone was just amazing. I've tried so many other things from networking parties to e-commerce, but oh boy software is really my thing. It just rang the freaking bell inside me.
Our second great signal
We went over to IGIS Asset Management, one of the top firms in Korea, and had lunch and coffee with the Multi-Asset Team. We showed them what we've been building for the past month, and they were amazed by what we've accomplished during that period of time. They told us asset management firms making ETF products would pay deep interest to us. (That's where we're going to head next!)
So overall, our product is gaining interest from various retail investors as well as institutions. We're going to focus on the prior, but the latter is in our options as well.
We're investing as well

Summer retreat
Four teams gathered forces to go on a summer retreat together. Pado, OptimizerAI, Fastrepl, DyveStudios. It was an honor to be able to host a joint retreat with prestigious teams. We went to Ganghwa Island. The weather was just great. We rode ATVs, swam for a bit, played football tennis, pingpong, did some barbeques, ... you name it. Hella fun with brothers.
